Makita 40V Brushless Cordless 8-1/2 Inch Dual-Bevel Miter Saw

The 40V Max XGT brushless 8-1/2″ dual-bevel sliding compound miter saw (GSL02Z, Tool Only) provides 4,800 RPM for faster and smoother cutting. The rail-forward design maximizes workspace when the miter saw is positioned flush against a wall. The efficient brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently for longer tool life. The GSL02Z features Automatic Speed Change technology to adjust cutting speed and torque under load for optimum performance and a soft start to suppress start-up reaction for smooth start-ups and longer gear life. Extension wings all for cutting longer materials and retract for easier storage. An electric brake provides maximum productivity. For improved efficiency, it is equipped with Auto-start Wireless System technology. AWS utilizes Bluetooth technology for wireless communication between the tool and dust extractor (sold separately). When the trigger of the AWS-equipped GSL02Z is engaged, the AWS-equipped dust extractor powers-up. When the trigger is released, the dust extractor powers-down. AWS is intelligent communication that eliminates cords and excessive noise since the dust extractor runs only when the tool is running. XGT is a system of equipment, tools, batteries and chargers utilizing 40V Max lithium-ion batteries. XGT is engineered to deliver high power to take on high-demand applications, allowing users to completely transition to a cordless job site. XGT is equipped with advanced brushless motor engineering, intelligent digital communication, and superior durability features to outpower, outsmart and outlast the rest. Features OUTPOWER: built brushless motor delivers 4,800 RPM for faster cutting performance OUTSMART: The digital communication within XGT optimizes performance to provide up to 2X longer sustained power under heavy-load applications OUTLAST: The digital communication within XGT actively monitors and protects against overload, over-discharge and overheating L.E.D light casts a shadow of the saw blade onto the material as an exact cutting line Dust reduction with dual dust collection ports and blade case design Rail-forward design to maximize work space against a wall and compact storage AWS capable with Auto-start Wireless Transmitter (part no 198901-5) sold separately Bevel angle lock and release dial at front of tool for easy access and repositioning Convenient onboard hex wrench storage for blade changes XGT tools and batteries are designed with a multi-layer contact interface for more constant power delivery to take on high-current demands XGT batteries feature rigid rails with impact-resistant construction to secure the battery to the tool during high-demand applications (battery not included) The XGT rapid charger with dual-fan design circulates air through the battery to cool the battery and circuit board quickly for faster charging (charger not included) The XGT rapid charger’s digital display indicates battery charge level (-80%, +80%, 100%) The XGT rapid charger’s built-in chip thoroughly communicates during the charging process to control current, voltage, and temperature for more efficient charging Only use genuine batteries and chargers
